Youth Football at Fencibles comprises grades U13, U14, U15, U16/17 and U18/19.
After U19 grade girls can move on to Senior Womens Football.
Youth grade teams participate in inter-club competitions, so will have both home and away games. Times of games are generally consistent, but may sometimes vary from week to week depending on location, weather conditions and field availability.
There are two levels of teams at Youth Football grades:
-
Development Plus Squad Teams (Development Plus Programme) – These are the top talent teams for each of our youth grades and are for players that wish to train and play two/three times a week with a dedicated professional coach. Players will need to attend trials and or be invited to play via our Summer Academies. Click here for more information.
-
Youth Social Teams – for players who aren’t selected for one of the Development Plus Squad teams or who would prefer to play a more social level of football. Teams will be put together based on preferred location, team from prior years (if any) and requests to play with friends. These teams will play grading games at the start of the season and subsequently be placed in an appropriate league to deliver a fun level of competition. Click here for more information
The Northern Region Football (NRF) administers the draws, which are available online. Any changes to this will be communicated by the team manager and/or coach.
Grading is strictly based on the year of birth: (2024 Season)
2012 – U13 Grade | 2011 & 2012 – U14 Grade | 2009 & 2010– U16 Grade | 2007, 2006 & 2005 – U19 Grade
Team Kits
All players should wear Fencibles playing shirt, shorts and socks. These can be purchased online from Inter Football. Click here for more information. Shin pads are compulsory. If training on William Green during the week moulded soled boots are compulsory on the Turf (no screw in studs as it damages the turf).
