Fencies on Fire! Another hugely successful U17's National Tournament!

Huge congratulations to our teams who just finished the U17 National Tournament at Western Springs over the past weekend. The Mens team back to back winners of the tournament and our Womens team knocked out in the semi final.

MEN

Our Fencibles U17 men had a stellar tournament winning the final against Melville, ending four days of competition at Seddon Fields for 32 of the country’s best U17 Mens teams. The game was a tense affair with Bond Tran scoring the critical goal. An incredible effort by our boys.

QF 3-1 win over Western Springs  (Goal scorers were Kale Viljoen, Finn Wessels & Liam Wessels)

WOMEN

Our Fencibles U17 Womens team unfortunately lost in the semi final in a penalty shoot out against Eastern Suburbs, ending four days of competition at Seddon Fields for 23 of the country’s best young U17 girls teams. The team battled hard throughout the game and a last minute equalizing goal by Eastern Suburbs forced the game in to extra time. Heartbreaking for the the team.

Well done to all the coaches (Kyle, Simon, Jon, Nick, James, Rosie), all 36 players and a huge thanks to the other amazing supporters for their support off the field.
